    This report deliberated about the project work and the understanding of the chosen topic, which is BPMA (Burst Pressure Mobile Application) as Commercial Steel Pipe Burst Pressure Tools for Chemical Engineering Department, entitled Burst Pressure Mobile Application. A research conducted, mobile technology plays major role in recent education trend nowadays. For Generation Y and Generation Millennium, mobile technologies such as mobile phones, smart phones, tablets and laptop create a bridge over the educational gap that teachers, parents and adults left behind because younger generation nowadays have become more independent to learn things for the future. The difficulty of associating the technology and life has been one of the key factors for children to catch-up with current lifestyle. In addition, nowadays many mobile application was developed to make the way of learning easier and effective to the students. Besides, the mobile apps help student to learn fast and help them to solve their problem. In engineering fields, research has shown that the allowable pressure and burst pressure in pipe is very important for safety purposes and to avoid any failure occur. Besides that, the pressure could be considered countenance of the maximum pressure which something can sustain before it will break or burst. Pressure and burst pressure in pipe is very important in designing any system especially in Oil and Gas Industry. Hence, there is a need to develop Burst Pressure Mobile Application. This mobile application will help all the users – Lecturers, Engineering Students, even Engineers, Oil and Gas Services Company, Pipe’s suppliers, Technologist and Researcher to determine allowable pressure and burst pressure in commercial steel pipe in easier way. Additionally, it has been acknowledged that there are no any mobile application to determine allowable pressure and burst pressure in commercial steel pipe that can be used in the Google Apps Store, while instantaneously providing motivation and courage by creating this mobile application it will provide a great solution for the concern arise. There are many mobile applications to determine pressure in pipe for the user, yet there is no any mobile application to determine allowable pressure and burst pressure specific in commercial steel pipe.     English language is international language that are worldwide use and also one of the important language in communication and a main-medium of instruction in education in Malaysia. In order to become good in English we must learn since we were kids like since preschool and primary school and that show how important to learn English language. Then it need to help the students especially the pre-school and the primary school students to learn English in more effective and attractive ways so that they will not feel boring or lost interest in learning English language. Aim of this research is to find an interactive tool that can be used in learning an English idioms. This research use RAD Model to develop AR application and quantitative methods through questionnaires were implemented to evaluate the research that were developed. The research was evaluated by 10 teachers who teach English Language and evaluated based on usefulness, satisfaction and ease of use questionnaires

    Travel to Southeast Asia: Learning About Southeast Asia through Augmented Reality

    ‘Travel to Southeast Asia’ application is one of Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Learn about Southeast Asia is very important and has been emphasized in high schools. However, there are some students who are bored and not interested in learning geography especially related to foreign countries due to lack of exposure and information about it. So, the main purpose of this project is to develop an educational application based on Augmented Reality for students to interest them in learning about Southeast Asia. Students also can identify eleven countries in Southeast Asia by using this application and gain some knowledge related to the countries. Unity software is the main software to develop this Augmented Reality because Unity engine can support the high quality of audio and visual effects to ease the development of the project. This project developed by using ADDIE Model as a dynamic and flexible guideline for building effective training and performance support tools. This research was evaluated by among 15 students from Sultan Idris Education University who pursuing a Bachelor of Education (Geography) with Honor by using quantitative methods through online questionnaire. This questionnaire was distributed to the respondents for evaluation based on Usefulness, Satisfaction and Ease of Use (USE) questionnaire. As a result of the questionnaire, majority of respondents gave positive feedback and interested with ‘Travel to Southeast Asia’ application.     'Serene classroom' minimizes noise for more conducive learning

    Noise pollution can be categorized as a danger in silence. In school, noise pollution inhibits the focus of learning, impairs learning and cognitive development, for example, students' skills to think and understand both oral and written comprehension may be hampered by noise. Many schools in Malaysia experience excessive noise pollution as their locations are very near busy roads. This will be one factor that hinders the implementation of the education system in producing holistic students in order to prepare for the 4IR era. Knowing the importance of this problem, a group of researchers from UTM GREENPrompt, School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia together with industry partners have built a special class called 'Serene Classroom' through a community project to overcome this problem. A classroom on the second floor of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampong Pasir, Johor Bahru that has traffic noise exposure from the Skudai-Johor Bahru highway was selected for this purpose. The community project is in collaboration with the Johor State Education Department, Ministry of Education Malaysia and industrial partners, such as Vibrant Echo Company, Sanjung Sempurna Sdn. Bhd. and DZAZ Collection. The implementation of the project, the lessons learned from the project and challenges for the implementation are discussed. Technically, Serene classrooms significantly reduce the level of noise pollution for more conducive learning and have received better perceptions from students and teachers. Therefore, hopefully more ‘Serene Classroom’ community projects can be implemented in schools, especially in urban areas affected by high noise levels as a way to reduce the renovation costs on schools

    Basically, this research project explains and studies on the failure of the national language policy's implementation in the Malaysian Legal System. It explores into the meaning of the national language, the position of the national language in Malaysia and several other countries, the relationship between the national language with Malaysia's history, legal jurisprudence, and psychology, together with the views from various perspectives, on the implementation of the national language in Malaysia. In this research, we have also read through landmark cases that reveal the importance of the national language, which the court has regrettably overlooked. There are several issues highlighted by the respondents in this research; which are crucial and must be brought to the attention of the public, legal officers, legal practitioners and academicians. Therefore, the research findings will create much needed awareness to the society about the importance of the national language in unifying the nation. In addition, a comparison is made of the situation in Malaysia and in other countries such as Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei. This will indirectly give some ideas, and help the relevant authorities to understand the reasons why the implementation of the national language in the Malaysian Legal System is vital in this country. At the same time, by conducting this research, we hope that it will be a guiding light, and grant to the injured parties, or the accused, in civil and criminal cases, the opportunity to seek justice, and ensure that justice is dispensed to all parties, regardless of their capability in conversing in either the English language or the national language. After collecting, analysing and justifying all the findings, based on the opinions and all the reliable facts and sources, we have come to a conclusion that it is possible to implement the national language in the Malaysian Legal System if the government, the Bar Council, the Attorney General's Chambers and the law firms in Malaysia, gives serious effort and attention, to overcome all the obstacles faced in the implementation, in order to implement the national language in this country

    Composting fruit and vegetable waste using black soldier fly larvae

    In recent years, the amount of solid waste generated has been increasing, and larger land space is needed for the disposal of the generated waste. One of the ways to deal with the limited landfill space is by composting organic waste using black soldier fly larvae. This study aims to determine the percentage of BSFL growth and to assess the effectiveness of using BSFL in composting fruits, boiled vegetables, and raw vegetables. The waste used in this study was collected from the college cafeteria and sorted into three waste categories, and 100g of each waste category was placed in different containers. Two different sets of experiments were carried out using an initial weight of 2g and 4g of BSFL. Within 17-days experiment, the weight of BSFL and composted waste were measured every three or four days, also an additional 100g of new waste was added to the containers until the amount of waste reached a total of 500g. The BSFL fed with the fruit waste has the highest growth percentage of 1700% relative to their initial weight of 2g. The BSFL with a higher initial density of 4g showed a lower percentage growth of 1200%. Fruit waste showed the highest percentage of weight reduction of 57%. This study has proven that fruit waste is a more suitable medium for larval growth compared to vegetable waste. The use of BSFL in organic waste composting is an effective method for reducing the amount of wastes disposed of in landfills
